Clients can select their own providers when booking in our new calendar but there are some instances where they skip this part and just let the system choose the best provider for them. Over the past years, we have had very little control on how the Jobtrack system selects providers for unassigned jobs.


To address this problem, automatic provider selection follows a certain systematic order:
  • Locked-in providers will be assigned first, followed by
  • Full-time providers, and then lastly,
  • Contract providers


From hereon, if the client fails to choose a provider for their booking, the system will find all available Locked-in providers first and will be automatically assigned. If a locked-in provider is not available, the system will then find whoever is available from the pool of Full-timers. If nobody is available, the system will then check the list of Contractors.


In order for this to fully work, make sure that the providers are properly assigned with their correct employment status in CMS.
